Summer Camp Staff 2009
Deidre Blackwell– Deidre is the assistant director of the After School and Summer Camp program, this year is her 2nd year at ARBC. She is a senior at USC Upstate majoring in Middle School Education with concentrations in Math and science. She will be working with the 3rd – 5th grade girls. Deidre has never met a Broadway musical she didn’t like.
Paul Ellis – Paul is a graduate from Clemson University with a degree in marketing and is currently attending EI School of Biblical Training. This is Paul’s 2nd year with ARBC Summer Camp and After School. Paul will be working with the 6th-8th grade boys this year.
Garrison Morris – Garrison graduated from the EI School of Biblical Training this May and will be working part time with Summer Camp. He is one of our Summer Camp drivers and has worked this last year in After School. He along with Mr. Paul has been in charge of our weekly Bible studies and will continue this tradition for Summer Camp.
Amy Chastain (summer only staff member) – Amy graduated form Shannon Forest Christian School and is currently a sophomore at Anderson University majoring in Early Childhood Education. She was a former camper and this is her 2nd year with Summer Camp. She will be working with the 3-5th grade girls. Amy hopes one day to marry a Jonas Brother.
Chloe McWhite – This is Chloe’s 2nd year with ARBC. She is a graduate from Greenville High School and is currently a sophomore at Greenville Tech. Chloe is a former camper and will be working with the 1-2nd grade girls. At this present time Chloe is the favorite staff member in After School. { voted on by the little girls}
Ellis Bellew (summer only staff member) – This is Ellis’s first summer as a staff member but she was a camper for years. She is a graduate from Greenville High School and is a sophomore at Clemson University studying computer engineering. Ellis will be working with the 1-2nd grade girls. Ellis is very excited to be here this summer.
Aaron Cook – This is Aaron’s first year with ARBC. Aaron will be working with the 6-8th grade boys this year. Aaron is an Eagle Scout and will be attending the EI School of Biblical Training this fall. I also understand he is an avid baseball player.
Leigh Ann Sims – Leigh Ann is a former camper who will be working this year with the 6-8th grade girls. Leigh Ann is a sophomore at USC majoring in Elementary Education. This is her first year as a staff member. She has worked at Camp Greenville and can’t wait to work with us.
Naomi Sellers (summer only staff member) – This is Naomi’s 5th summer with us at ARBC. She is a graduate of USC and has spent the last school year working at Thomas E. Kerns Elementary so she fears nothing. She was a former camper and will be working with the 6-8th grade girls.
Jammal Cox (summer only staff member) – Jammal is a former camper and this is his 2nd year with ARBC. He is a sophomore at Winthrop College and hopes one day to be a doctor. He will be working with the 3rd-5th grade boys. Jammal will be playing lots of basketball this summer but no back flips.
Elizabeth Chastain (summer only staff member) – Elizabeth was the first ever Camper of the summer and our first Annie. This is her 3rd summer working with ARBC. She is a senior at Clemson University majoring in biology. She will be working with the 1-2nd grade boys.
Toby Williams (summer only staff member) – Toby is a teacher and Coach at Greenville High School and this is his 6th summer driving for us. Because of Toby we have lots of safe, fun field trips.
Jim Whitworth – Jim has been a driver for ARBC for the last 3 years. He is a former Warden for the state of South Carolina and is a real ninja {black belt} so we feel very safe when he’s around.
Ann Templeton – Mrs. Ann is ARBC’s book – keeper and this is her first summer with us. Ann is the treasurer for Sarah Collins Elementary and a mother of two girls. She will be more then happy to answer any questions you may have about payments this summer
Mary Dell Fletcher – Mary Dell has worked at ARBC for the last 13 years. She is a graduate from SCAD and has a total of 16 years in the world of Summer Camp’s and After School. Mary Dell is the mother of Emma Dell and the wife of Matthew. She is very excited to be working with all these wonderful people this summer.
